Topics
Mastering Topics 1 - 13 before Semester 1 lectures begin should be a minimum suitable preparation for most tertiary Chemistry courses in Australia, but depending on the State, Institution and course undertaken, more may be desirable. The other Topics in the book are all relevant to most first Semester courses in Chemistry and the gentler treatment of the material here will be of considerable help when used in conjunction with your text book.
Beside most Topics, there is a link to Adrian's lecture presentation of it. These videos are made available with the kind permission of the School of Chemistry, the University of Sydney.
STUDY GUIDE. As a guide, reading the notes for each Topic will take about an hour, working through the tutorial questions and answers needs about 2 hours and completing each wrap up quiz takes about 10 minutes. Viewing the lecture video takes from 30 to 50 minutes.
Note the answers to the wrap up quizzes are in Appendix 4.
